can't open pdf files

right, i have no idea when it comes to PC's - my crappy laptop at home will not allow me to open pdf attachments. I've tried going onto the Adobe website for guidance but no joy. The machine is an old Toshiba satellite with windows 2000 (i think) anyone able to help me with the limited info i've supplied ? cheers guys

Have you got Acrobat reader installed ? If you haven't, install it also check the you have .pdf file extensons associated with acrobat erader

Press start click on run, type explorer select tools menu option select folder options click on file types tab scroll down to the pdf extensions entry and ensure it is associated with Acrobat reader.
