I'm trying to re-pressurise my boiler, having successfully done it in the past. I've inserted the white key thing and set it to lock - however when I try and turn the nut next to it anticlockwise it just won't budge? I don't really understand why - any ideas?

It does seem to turn clockwise, but water dropped out when I did that so I quickly stopped.

Especially annoying as I only had it serviced a few months ago

If you are looking from above the nut turns clockwise to open. If looking up from below it s anticlockwise to open.
Which way are you referring to ?

Hahaha I am such an idiot - i have been turning it clockwise from below.

Already living up to my username.

And the nut will not turn ? But it turns in the other direction ?
If so ,does pressure increase ?
I appreciate you tried and stopped because water dripped out ,which you could contain in a bowl to try again and see if pressure increases.
