Caulk or wood filler

Hi.
Have just fitted new mdf skirting. Should I fill the holes made by the nail gun with caulk or wood filler?

1 pack ronseal white woodfiller

or some 2 pack -which is more readily available

use abrasive against a small block of wood to get flat

Wood filler, you will get a better finish, as you can't sand caulk.
