Are there any draw backs to having cavity wall insulation? Will mould develop on any areas of wall that the insulation doesn't reach because of the temperature difference caused? Will my adjoining neighbour be affected?

Properly Installed no you shouldn't have any problems/gaps where insulation hasnt reached etc etc and your nabour wont be affected.

In the past 20years+ cavity insulation got a bad press they have since improved materials and instalation methods training etc
Idealy instaler will check your cavity beforhand to make sure there are know existing problems that could effect the instalation
