Ceiling insulation on Garage conversion

On a garage conversion, renewing the ceiling and have took insulation down to run cables and pipes.
Wondering, Now the garage is a habitable insulated room. Ian the insulation between ceiling and 1st floor bedroom above required?

You'll need sound insulation, but unless the garage has been converted to a really good insulation value, then you may want to thermally insulate the floor regardless while you have the chance
