the boiler is a baxi solo pfl 30/80
this seems to be stayin on now at the minute.
i put it on low to begin with.
but if i turn it up it goes out again.

it bagan after turning the water bak on at the stop cock last night,
it started making noises under the floor boards n bubbleing n banging in the tank in the airing cupboard,
we bled the radiators n black water came out.
the problems now is the radiators bein cold,

I am just a householder

does your system have a Feed and Expansion tank in the loft to top up the boiler and radiators, or is it pressurised?

If it has an F&E, climb up into the loft and see (1) is it full or empty (2) is there a lot of mud at the bottom

How hot is the pump, and the pipes around it? (feel with your hand) and does it seem to be whirring?

does it have a hot water cylinder?

How old is it?

Do you know where the drain cock for your radiators is?

How long has the bleed water been black?

FYI, black water is caused by black iron oxide, a result of corrosion of the steel radiators. It causes sediment and blockages. There are ways to clean it out and prevent it. Feel all your rads and see if all of them are warm all over - if there is a complete blockage anywhere, it is difficult to remove. Try to find a strong magnet, which you will need later to search for blockages in pipes.

If you can post photos of the pipework around your boiler, pump, F&E (if any) hot cylinder (if any) it will help

p.s. was the "leaky inlet washer pipe" anything to do with the boiler or heating?

the leaky washer pipe was from the washing machine n that was just split, lol

everything else just escalated from there after we put the water back on.
the boiler seems to be ok now just all the knocking n bubbleing with the heating

An outside chance could be that you have a leak on the ch system. When you turned water off to fix tap washer the system continued to drain through leak.

Now water is back on system is full of air and fresh water trapping it, or as John says f&e blocked so hasn't re-filled.

thanx for the replys
just to top it all now the water tank has sprung a leak it has now been leakin for a while by the looks of the rotted wood the tank is standing on.
this is gonna cost us a fair bit i think
