hI WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH AIR IN THE SYSTEM. THE CENTRAL HEATING STARTS OFF OK THEN AFTER ABOUT 15 MINS THERE IS AIR WHICH IS PUMPED UP OUT THRU THE PIPES DIRECTLY OVER THE COLD WATER TANK THIS CAUSES THE WATER TO BE THROWN OUT THRU THE OVERFLOW PIPE.PROCEED BY BANGING OF THE PIPES. WE HAVE TRIED CLEANING THE SYSTEM WITH AN ACID CLEANER BUT IT STILL HAS NOT SORTED THE PRBLEM OUT. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

The plumbers on here will need to know the make of the boiler & system etc

Sounds like the boiler is overheating which could be the boiler thermostat or you have a restricted flow or blocked feed pipe
