Hi

I have a question about my boiler which is a saunier duval xeon.

its a open vent system ( I think (not a combi)) which feeds hot water tank and 7 Radiators.

when either hot water and/or rads or on if you stand next to the boiler you can here what i can only describe as water dribbling noise (ie if you part fill a bowl in a sink and then let the water from the tap "dribble" into the bowl

I tried bleeding and little air came out of the bathroom radiator however its made no difference. the system has been trained and as inhibtor added that improved it for a bit, but its now just the same.

when you first start the bolier there is the whooshing noise but i was told by my plimber uncle and another plumber that this was normal

What is this dribbling noise, the cause and is it normal

is it normal for the system to collect a little air and why does it?

Many thanks for your help

It sounds as if your F&E tank may be empty or the feed pipe blocked.

Inspect it and report back.
