I have gas central heating on a standard (non combi) boiler. The CH is fine, but the hot water system suddenly stopped working. What would cause this? (I'm currently using my backup electrical immersion heater, which is expensive!)

I've got the same problem. Noticed that the boiler will only start up if you select heating ON on the control panel in the kitchen. My emersion is sending my elec bills high. Will post here if I find a solution as well.
