I have fixed my earlier problem of air coming up the central heating when DHW first coming on by adding an auto air vent to a high spot on my flow pipe.

But now a new problem:

When the heating is on (firebird external combi pac 20kw version) and running hot I have air coming up into the rads. Now I've narrowed this down and found out that it only happens when the boiler is actually heating the water. When the water is up to temp and is just pumping around the system I get a completely silent central heating - great!

My stat on the boiler goes from 60-80 degrees and was set at 70. The pump speed on the heating is 1-3 and set at 1.

I tried turning the stat down to 60 to see what effect that had; apart from the blissful 5 mins or so whilst the boiler didn't need to heat the water it had no effect.

Next I tried turning the pump up to 3. This also had no effect apart from blasting the air through the radiator faster- which i guess is what you'd expect!

So I'm not sure what the problem could be. Like I say, if the water is hot and the boiler doesn't need to heat the water I get no air noises.

It's a sealed system running on a firebird combi c20 and I don't have a any pressure drops. 1bar when cold, 1.5ish when hot.

The boiler was installed at the start of November this year, onto pipes that were put in the house 20 years ago but never connected to anything.

Any help MUCH appriciated...

Thanks.
