Switch off the power to the central heating system. Disconnect the wire to the pump. Close the valves on each side of the pump. Put some rags or other absorbent material below the pump. Unscrew the union flanges that connect the pump to the valves. Lift out the old pump, a small amount of water will come out of the pump. Replace the sealing rings, and fit new pump by doing all above in reverse.
