Feel a little embarrassed - I have only joined to seek help, but really hope that someone out there is willing and able to assist me please!
As the subject says, we are currently having a problem whereby the heating won't go off. On the electrics by the boiler, even when the HW and CH are both set to "off" the heating remains on - and I can hear the boiler whirring away.
The only way to "stop" it is by turning it off completly at the wall, but obviously then, we can't get hot water (apart from what is in the water tank.
Is there anything easy I can do to resolve this without calling out a plumber?
The boiler make is a Potterton Promax HE and is around 5-6 years old (the house is a new build. built around 2004)
Thank you in advance for any offered assistance
