good morning, hope someone has advice,i have a fully pumped ,vented ch system, glowworm fuelsaver mk11 (20 year old)grunfos pump boiler in garage above head height and the ONLY drain down point is at ceiling level on the ground floor which will only drain the upstairs rads.
had to drain down to replace a leaking on/off valve in master bedroom
on refilling the first floor rads get scolding hot(never before been this hot)and the ground floor are cold/luke warm.
how do i remove the air lock, will i need to fit a drain cock to a ground floor rad ,refill and switch on pump with gas supply isolated etc topush air thru.
presently i can only get clean water (no air) from all rads in house at bleed point at top of rads
no lockshields have been adjusted and all rads are switched on,there are no trv valvesfitted.
system worked perfect moments before draindown /replaced valve and refilled.kind regards
