ch has just stopped working. i have the programmer set to continuous and hw to timed. i then use the thermostat to control the ch on/off. however the heating will only work now if both hw and ch are set to continuos. i have checked the 3 port valve and the level moves to ch when ch continuos selected but the boiler/pump do not work. but both these work ok when hw and ch are set to continuous and help appreciated

poss the micro switch is not being activated when ch only called for due to it being faulty or the valve not fully making the switch due to sticking.

the lever on a 3 port when floppy don't mean it's in ch position as the lever will only take the valve to mid position when manually activated.

remove the actuator cover and check the m/switch.

what valve model/make is it ?

thanks for the advice. is it possible that the vave motor is working but voltage is not passed to pump/boiler. I think a new valve might be on the cards. The valve is a BGMVSR 23 i think british gas. can i can a new head or will i have to buy the complete valve or does another make motor head fot a bg valve thanks again
