Change mansard dormer for box dormer

Hi
I live in a three storey town house. The top floor is two bedrooms with the rear bedroom having a mansard dormer which limits head height and usable space quite considerably. Please see the photo. I would like to remove this and build back a wider box dormer to provide more usable space in the bedroom.

How difficult would this be to do?
