Changing light switch

Hello,

I want to change my light switch to a new one as I've just redecorated and its got paint on it,

When i've done them before there has only been 3 wires, live switched live and earth.

What is going on in this room? there is only one light and one switch.

Looks like they have looped the live at the switch - just keep the two wires together in the same hole which are together now when you connect in the new switch.
