Since few days i've noticed the heating is on while the device is in off position. Only way to switch of the heating is to turn it off(on the socket). Device seems to work fine as i turn the downstairs, upstairs or boiler works ok, but works as well as it is in off postion, anyone has any ideas ?

Am slightly confused by the question but if CH is on when the controller shows off then can only deduce something has developed a fault.

Either the controller itself or, more likely, motorised valve stuck open.

If you know which valve it is - can you hear it move when controller is changed from on to off to on?

I will have a guess that a micro switch in a motorised valve has failed?

The three channel programmer will need to tell the system it needs to run. Be this for hot water or for central heating. So if we look at central heating the thermostat will when the time is set for run open a motorised valve. This will in turn tell the boiler to run.

So either the micro switch in the valve has stuck or the whole valve has stuck.

Try manually working the valve and then report back.
