I’m underway with building an 8m x 4m timber garden room. The main structure is up and I’m hoping to finish the roof and sort out windows/doors in the coming weeks. After looking at various composite cladding options, the plan is to use Millboard (very pricey, but seemed far better quality than anything else we’ve seen). Which brings me onto my question - given that the rear of the garden room won’t be seen by anyone, I don’t want to waste £2-3k cladding it in fancy Millboard stuff!
What is a good alternative for the rear wall? Ideally, I want something that is maintenance-free which I can put up and forget about. I was considering using galvanised box profile/corrugated sheets (something like this https://www.cladco.co.uk/sheets/box...e-0-5-thick-polyester-paint-coated-roof-sheet). However, given they are metal, I guess they’ll be prone to lots of condensation which could cause me issues down the line? Also, I worry that they could be noisy in heavy rain? Any suggestions much appreciated!
