Hello, a friend lives in rented accommodation which doesn't have an aerial. Does anyone know of an easy and cheap way of getting around the problem? WiFi isn't a problem but she wants it on her TV not laptop.
Is there some kind of box she can get and plug or anything else?
Her TV is too old to be a smart one. Cheers.

Cheapest option would be an hdmi lead to connect the laptop or even phone to the TV. Only a few quid.

Chromecast works well enough, control content via WiFi with your phone. Lots of other streaming boxes. Depends what channels you want but most do the basic free (with adverts) channels.

Or buy a second hand smart TV. Loads on Facebook marketplace for not much money.

Freely tv’s are available , but would require new tv.
Chromecast a cheap option , you can pick up second hand units for £10.

You can get a fire stick for about £25 I think, sign into BBC I player and ITV X and away you go.

Ask on the local facebook groups, fully loaded firesticks go for about £50, no further streaming service accounts required.

Yes, with all the streaming services that should be paid but are not :)
