Hi all

Just in the middle of a loft conversion.

Architect has stipulated chicken wire supporting rock wool for fire protection, no drama.

But the videos I have seen runs it over the joists and creating a cradle 100mm deep.

My question is can I just run it underneath punching in and stappling to the new josts which are suspended 50mm above the old ones?

This would mean circa 190mm below the new floor.

Thanks

It doesn't matter where you attach the chicken wire provided the mineral wool effectively sits on top of the lathe and plaster and is continuous.
