chimney lining

ok I won't to line our chimney I could use the old stocking and vermiculite but its a double flu and very uneven I think I'd have problems, I'm not keen on those stainless steel liners that you pull though, I've seen them when they go rusty and fall apart and can't get then out but I was told that you can get concrete rings that drop in on top of each other and although that would involve rebuilding the chimney breast I'd end up with a nice neat chimney flu, what do you reckon? anyone with experience of this?
