Chrome Polish - Exterior Door Handles

Hi,

We have a chrome door handle on on the exterior of our front door and it has some white marks that have which have appeared which I guess the weather has caused. Could anybody recommend a way to get rid of these? Is there a certain polish that is best?

Any metal polish will bring it up.

apart from the cotton wadding types, most metal polishes are more or less abrasive. Metals such as brass and aluminium are cleaned by rubbing away the top tarnished layer. Car accessory shops usually sell purpose chrome cleaners.
