I've got a chrome ladder towel rail in the bathroom that's started to rust in various places, mostly around the welds. I think this is because it's in the bathroom and was inexpensive (bought by previous owner).

I would replace it but I'm not sure I will be able to get one to match (aka I know nothing about towel rails). I wanted to get one to match as I don't fancy having to pull tiles off the wall or have the hot water pipes re-plumbed.

Are these ladder towel rails standard sizes with standard fittings?

I have even considered having the existing towel rail re-chromed but from looking on the net having even small items re-chromed is expensive.

Any suggestions or info on this would be appreciated.

Thanks
Martin

ladder rads are pretty standard either flat or curved.
measure the height/width and measure the pipe centres should be easy to locate one.
the mounting brackets are adjustable on where you want them.
