I live in Spain. A Milux Chronothermostat (PPL IMP 0055 IND B) was fitted by a local plumber to run my Junkers Central Heating boiler. It seems to have been programmed correctly using User1 mode. The thermostat side seems to work OK and so does the timed OFF mechanism. The problem is the programmed ON side. The settings are

ON 8am OFF 10am
ON 4 pm OFF Midnight.

As the Milux has no 30mins facility the time clock is set 30 mins ahead of actual time. For reasons unknown it triggers the ON side two hours earlier than the shown schedule ie at 5.30 am and 3.30 pm in accordance with the adjusted clock time but not in line with the programme. No reply from Watts (Milux), bewildered plumber. Solutions anyone?

set clock two hours late?

There is merit in your suggestion. The problem is that it switches off correctly. So if I move the "on" time setting forward by two hours (ignore the 1/2 hour), the setting would read:
ON 10 am to give an effective 8 am
but it would switch off at 10 am as that works correctly.

I can deal with the pm manually but a 6am upset is not my scene.

It seems as though the Milux has a fault.

I guess a diffreent gismo which has fraction of an hour would be bette

Don't know this model and the online instructions I have found are not very comprehensive. However I wonder if the stat has an "optimization" feature, the purpose this is to automatically adjust the turn on time according to the weather.

Instead of programming it to come on at 0600, hoping the house will be up to temperature when you get up at 0800, you set the time to 0800. The stat then brings the heating on earlier than this, but at varying times according to how cold it is. The same would happen at 4pm.

Try setting the ON times to when you get up (am) or when you get back from work (pm).

As the Milux has no 30mins facility the time clock is set 30 mins ahead of actual time.
Are you talking about a "boost" facility?

Thanks for your input.
I agree that the info on this is scant. I have since found the European site for this American product and have written for help in both French and English.
In the meantime, I've taken note of both replies and a temporary solution seems to be one of clock/programme adjustment as has been suggested.

The true solution is to get a different programmer with decent instructions and more precise calibrations.

Thanks
