Hi
A resistor on the PCM of my Bosch SMS69L02GB/02 dishwasher has blown. I can't see any of the writing on it to be able to replace it with an equivalent. Does anyone have a close-up pic that would allow me to identify it?
The resistor is sandwiched between an HF3FD relay and a blue VDR.

Many thanks

Resistors do not "blow" without good reason. So even if you replace the offending part there is a good chance it will fail immediatly.
Can You post a picture of the board? that way we can have a good look
and maybe help.

Hi

Thanks for the fast reply. I have uploaded a pic of the resistor. The damage was caused by a flood. I'm hoping that with a new resistor, it will be doing the dishes again!

Many thanks

i think that will not be repairable

there is a couple of firms that can try

I agree with Cakeman. the damage looks to be a bit more than the obvious burned out part. Water damage (IMO) almost certainly leads to disaster if the power is applied while the board is still wet. Bite the bullet and get a replacement.

Hi

I'm going to try replacing the resistor first, as it'll be a pound at most and an hour of my time putting it all back together - worth a shot I reckon, as a new PCM is £110!
Please to anyone else reading this, only post a reply if you have a pic or know the spec of the resistor, to which I will be very grateful.

Many thanks
