When wife is washing clothes we have a acid like odor coming from the laundry room we think its a sewer odor the drain works ok
but the odor really burns our eyes andmakes our throat sore.

soumds like either chlorine or amonia, why not get you loacl drainage co in to investigate,as without seeing it it could be almost anything

Thanks for the help I went in to it and found that it was not the washer
but a wire was loose on the dryer recpticale causin the plastic to melt
and put off a strong odor.A good idea to check things out if i had not repaired this i could have had a bad fire
