Cold hot water tank hot pipes and pump

the cylinder stat turned up to 60
is the boiler and pump running ?

yes, when the HW is running only the pump and boiler are still running. Also the BAXI SOLO 2PF keeps shutting down due to over heating and the pipes rattle like mad.

right thats because your water is not circulating.
push the lever on the valve across dos it move freely or got tention on it ?

yes, there is tension on it, when i push it to the right. It never goes to the right any other time though

push it across and it should clip in a groove and hold there.
feel the pipe to the valve should be hot, then the pipe from valve to cylinder is that hot/cold ?

all the pipes are now cold, although the boiler is heating the water, it overheats when the water is off and the heating is on

if just your heating on it still over heats.

Why is it that your "plumber" friend is unable to sort out the problem for you?

Surely this is his normal line of work but either he is totally incompetent or he is not wanting to bother to do it for you?

agile i am getting a bit of a sore head now and confused whats going on

he come down the other day. all was working but the pipes banged and the boiler kept overheating when the CH was turned on. He replaiced the stat on the hot water tank and now nothing seams to be working

seems your valve is up the wall, but he has told you that.

so does the valve lever suppose to move back and forth very much depending on wether it wants CH or HW. I`ve only ever seen it on the left, although it does make noises when i turn the heating on, but when i do the boiler over heats, so if i replace the - Motorised valve Syncron, will that sort the problem out. I have a Honeywell F4 9904 and i dont want to get the wrong one to replace it. Thanks for all your help
