Hi all, I recently added an additional radiator downstairs and used PEX pipe to run a rather dificult route up and around some old air heating ducts and down an existing pipe box.
However now I have fired the system back up it doesn't seem to get hot!!

I have checked the following:-

1. There is pressure through both the trv and the valve at the other end (although not sure if both or ether is very high)
2. The hot water starts to come through at either end (depending on which valves you open) when the radiator is bled.
3. if both valves are open and the radiator is bled the non TRV end starts to heat up.
4. There is enough pressure to fill the radiator with water (but not sure from which end)
5. The pipes that the PEX feeds off are both getting hot.

The following are the things I think are possibilities for the problem;

1. The TRV is not working properly and restricting the flow (even with the top taken off though the problem persisits)
2. I have kinked the PEX pipe on one side when installing.
3. There is not suficient pressure to move the water up and down a floor where I have conected it.

Could anyone give me there opinions on the above or shed some light or possible solutions?

Thanks in advance as always

try shutting the other rads see if it gets hot. maybe an airlock restricting its flow.

then if it gets hot it'll need balancing into the system with the other rads.
