HI,
We have a single storey apex roofed extension which is used as a childs
bedroom. The extension was built using lightweight thermalite blocks and it
has cavity wall insulation (the foam type). The floor is a suspended
chipboard floor. The loft space above, is insulated to 200mm. Three of the
walls are external walls.

When the heating is not on the room is cold, and not long after the heating
has been switched off it goes cold again. It has a one double radiator in
it, which is slightly over the BTU required for this size of room. There are
three air bricks to keep the air circulating under the suspended floor. I
have tried covering up the air bricks to see if that helps, but it doesn't.

Any ideas why it could be getting cold ?

Many Thanks
