Hi,
I've been reading through a lot of posts here, but can't really find anything similar to my problem. The cold tap on my bathroom wash basin has been reduced to barely a dribble.
All of my cold taps are on the mains supply - I have no tanks in the loft any more since I had a combi boiler installed a few months ago.
All my other taps (both hot and cold) are fine.
The strange thing is, if I turn the basin tap on very quickly, the water will shoot out for about a second, and then there's a clunk and it stops. Sometimes, if I get it just right, I can get a proper flow for about 5 or 10 seconds, but then it will clunk and stop.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Take the top off and you should find a horseshoe shaped clip has jumped out of it`s groove allowing the spindle to drop. Common prob. with a particular type of tap. There was another thread but I cant find it again. You could search under replies I`ve made. If you can`t fix it consider a pair of new tap tops from your local shed...open today
