combi boiler, no hot water and no heating :(

Ideally, you should let the air out and get to the correct pressure (1 -1.5 bar (probable the red needle) on the dial on the boiler) when the system is stone cold and not warm at all.

Which, ironically, as luck would have it, it is!!

 indeed it is!!glad u told me that cos when i was searching on how to do it (when i found this site with you lovely people on :)) every one said warm but not hot radiators!!

If this doesn't work, and you call British Gas out again, don't let them talk you into a powerflush just yet. Re-post and see what replies you get, and should you eventually go for the flush (which may, or may not resolve the situation), use a local plumber who will be far, far cheaper than BGas!!!

i have cover on it which i think covers for anything they do to it? I hope it does or my landlord is in for a shock!! :o

i have a vivid imagination, like most plumbers; we get it from doing quotes, but i can't think of any reason for warm bleeding.

Don't think it'll cover powerflush. Given that the BGas man who changed the pump couldn't quite bring himself to bleed the radiators for you and get the system to an appropriate pressure, don't expect too much from them I'm afraid.

Im quite a good all rounder at things, ie I know a bit about everything but not alot about anything and I did tell him it took me 15 mins to work out how to relight the pilot light so he shouldve got from that Im not very good at heating and stuff (instructions are on a fairly big sticker right next to the on button, easily missed lol) maybe i should call them out to to the raditors for me just to prove a point lol

Was being sarcastic - we don't often get too chatty on these forums and like to keep a professional distance. For some reason, this thread seemed to be becoming more of a chatroom!!! :!:
