i HAVE A 12 YEAR OLD HALSTEAD QUATTRO COMBI THAT KEEPS LOSING PRESSURE FROM 1.5 BAR TO ZERO OVER THE COURSE OF A DAY.
THERE IS NO WATER LEAKING FROM THE OUTSIDE OVERFLOW AND A NEW PRESSURE VALVE HAS BEEN FITTED, ALONG WITH A NEW DIVERTER VALVE, GAS VALVE,CALORIFIER,AND PCB.
THE PRESSURE DROPS WHEN HEATING IS ACTIVATED- NOT THE HOT WATER SYSTEM. THERE ARE NO LEAKS IN ANY PIPEWORK OR RADS.
COULD IT BE THE PRESSURE GAUGE PERHAPS?
ANY IDEAS WOULD BE VERY WELL RECEIVED, THANKS.

BEST IF YOU DIDN'T shout..........

Now as you seem to have rebuilt the boiler with spares i doubt it would be a good time to tell you to......get a new boiler. Either you have a leak on your heating circuit....under floor perhaps? Simple test......fill boiler to identifiable mark...say 2 bar. Lock off the boiler over night via the iso's underneath.....if no pressure drop by morning its on your heating circuit. If not it's within the boiler......dunno where tho as you have changed all the parts!!

Smile.... you are on camera Powell. :D
Read the post again and tell me it is not a wind up.
.. replaced pcb and gasvalve to sort out a water leak???

thanks for replies,
sorry about the shouting!!

The pcb and gas valve were replaced a few months before pressure drop; but i thought i would mention it anyway
thanks for the tips, but losing 1.5bar over the course of a day is a fair amount of water, and i cannot find any leaks anywhere(pipework is above ground level and under floorboards upstairs.

I will try your test, powell30 thanks
