Combi Boiler Water Pressure

Quick question ?

Is it normal for my Optima Ferroli combi boiler to increase from a little over 1 bar water pressure to 2.5 bar pressure after it has been on for a while. Assume the PRV kicks in when it gets too high ?

seem to be a lot of posts about re-pressurising a combi but not found any about increased water pressure ?

Ideally the pressure should not go much over 2 bar. The expansion vessel is probably flat or low on air pressue - read the FAQ's.
