Hi,

I have a puma potterton 80e boiler and have been noticing a nasty scraping noise several times a day. We are running the CH constantly but normally only have 1 rad on in my son's room upstairs. Last night I deliberately left the rad on in the bathroom and found that the disconcerting noises have not returned. This rad is the closest to the boiler (on the same floor) so I suppose the hot supply and return loop is a lot closer. Can anyone advise me if this is good practice as I am unsure...and not totally sure I have rid myself of the noise yet

thx

This particular combi does require a bypass in other words a radiator that is constantly on so yes i think you have answered your own question ;)
