Hi
Hope someone can help.
I have a Firebird 120,000 BTU Oil Fired Combination Boiler and have developed a problem with Water Hammer. The distance from the incoming main to the boiler is less than 4 metres and the pipework is secure. I have a Pressure reducing valve fitted and the problem occurs regularly at above 3 bar - if I put the pressure up to 4 bar - I get less pressure out of the hot tap and the hammer occurs. I thought the pressure goes through the boiler at mains pressure - is this not the case and any suggestions? The set up has worked happily for years.
Many Thanks
Chris
