Digging over the patch of soil left from ripping up the old 'crazy paving' eyesore in the front yard today. Used a soil rake to break up the lumps and level the area.
Go inside for coffee, leaving El Wifey to continue the soil toil...
Come back out, cant find the rake or El Wifey so grab fork and return to breaking up chunks of soil.
Phone rings.
Drop fork and go to answer it.
As I cross the soil area, rake handle erupts from beneath the loose soil like monster from deep, *******ing me in the noggin! Cursed El Wifey had cunningly managed to bury it and then buggerd off!
El Wifey returns upon hearing my woe to find me on my arse, alternating between howls of pain and roaring laughter!
Thought that step-on-the-rake gag only happened in t'movies!
