I had some great advice from a Brickie some time ago, he advised using concrete blocks at corners etc to support a garden shed. I've since acquired a load of building bricks, can these be used in place of the blocks. I need to build a pier at one corner about 1 foot high.
I would be happy if they only lasted 15 years !

Engineering bricks or concrete are fine.... normal bricks will suck up the water and then explode (a bit dramatic) in a frost, and be in bits in a couple of years.

If you're gonna do a job, do it properly.... or so they say!
