Hi, i am replacing the fill valve in the toilet cistern, but i dont know what the brass compression fitting is called which is screwed to bottom of valve,
i would like to replace it, what type / size is it, so i can order it with valve, dont want to use a flexible type.

Tap connector, almost certainly 15 milimetre by half inch, available straight or bent. Should come with a fibre washer.

What pipe are you connecting to?

Do you have an "isolation valve"fitted before the tank? or have you turned off at the mains? If no valve you may want to fit one while you are at it as this will make life easier in the future.

Good thinking Batman.

15mm x 1/2" straight/bent service valves:
