Hey,

Do you have to re-screed over pipes sunk in the ground? We've had this done and the builder who'd be re-screeding said the channels aren't deep enough. The plumber used a 4" griner.

Neither of them actually know if you have to re-screed, or if you can lay the floor straight over them.

We're having 14mm engineered flooring as opposed to carpet.

Insulate and just floor over them, I am guessing that the channell is not wider than 80mm?

Pete

What kind of pipes are you referring to - gas, drinking water, c/h pipes?
Plastic or copper pipes?

Google WRAS Schedule 2, para 7 explained - for simple explanations and diagrams.

Sorry for the lack of response!

They're c/h pipes and it's copper. I think they're about sport on 80mm wide - 2x 15mm pipes with lagging fit snuggly in there.
