Concrete lintel damaged

I think the concrete is faulty somehow on account of how fragile it is (even a light touch causes more of it to crumble away). Should I attempt repair or replacement of this lintel and how much should it cost (roughly)?

They used to add calcium chloride to the mix to improve setting, but over time this has proved disasterous. The
lintel is finished and needs replacing.
