Hi guys,

Got a 2 Camera IP based system which is currently working well.

I want to temporarily move one of them to a shed which has power but its a difficult run for a temporary cable and would leave the cable vunerable.

I can pick up the wifi from the house on my phone in the shed so i was wondering if there is a way to connect the camera to something and have it connect to the network wirelessly so i can still view them online?

Have a few old laptops thinking of plugging the camera into the LAN port and connect the laptop to the wireless, would that work? Just need to put the laptop out of the way

Any ideas?

Cheers Neil

Wireless LAN to LAN bridge? Lot of even the cheapest routers will operate in bridging mode.

Or a set of powerline sockets, IP over mains. Both can be picked up for under £30 with a bit of shopping around.
