Conservatory Roof Insulation

Hi Everyone - I am trying to upgrade the roof of my conservatory and have contacted a firm called Roof Revive who fit insulation on the underside of a polycarbonate roof, they then fit plasterboard and skim. To secure the plasterboard they secure battens to the existing aluminium roof trusses. Has anyone any experience with this firm and what are the general comments regarding this system. Thanks

Personally, I don't like the idea of screwing a load of stuff to the underneath of a poly roof.

Many views & opinions; my personal concern is the risk of overloading the roof bars, or glazing frames; some conservatory designs may not take the extra load, even more so when it snows

If you stick a roof on it it's no-longer a conservatory re planning regs.

Joe; things have changed & got decidedly some what more confused since Oct 2010 & the % glazing rule we all knew & loved no longer applies; there are also a couple of other changes.

Something else to remember if you are thinking of doing this is the level of light you will lose in your house, they don't seem to mention that.
