My conservatory roof is over 20 years old and is looking discoloured. I'd like to replace the sheets with new polycarbonate.
One of the issues I have is slipping sheets, it's a right pain to clamber around on the roof taking out seals and re-positioning the sheets. I've been told that sheets slip due to high winds vibrating the sheets and causing them to slip. We get a lot of high winds!
There is a pvc strip on the underside of the panels, fitted into a groove on the roof truss. On the outside edge is a black flexible seal.
What would be the best way to prevent slipping on the new sheets?
Also the sheets are just twin wall, so there could be an insulation advantage in using multiwall sheets.
