Hello all,
In our previous place there was a continuous fan with a speed boost, fan in loft.
I would like a similar in our new property to continuously trickle vent (not for cooker extract) our kitchen but just running at a permanent low speed. Ceiling mounted fan due to no loft in new property.
Is there a fan available ? It will be ducted to outside.

Many thanks

Yes there are all sorts, there is a heat recovery unit where the heat exchanger is built into the pipe going through the wall, gives you fresh air without cold draft. Main point before fitting any fans is what heating do you have, if not a balanced flue often not permitted to have simple extractor it also has to allow air back in, hence using heat recovery units.

Was the fan in your previous property due to radon gas ? That is a common reason for having a continuous extract. ( Sometimes is it is continuius insert keeping the house at slightly positive pressure to prevent radon entering. )

If that was the case then unless your new house is subject to radon permanent extract is not really needed unless part of a heat recovery system
