Hi everyone.

I hope someone can help me with a question on the correct product to put on my external double glazed windows. We recently bought a barn conversion and the windows are double glazed wooden units. Not sure what wood, we are moving in next week. It;s in good condition but the varnsh is peeling and wood looks a bit weathered. I have seen many posts about, stain, varnish, oil, linseed and can't find a definitive answer. I would like to keep the wood colour natural as it in now. I understand linseed and teak oil can damage the double glazing seals, and polyurethene is rubbish for UV protection. What would everyone recommend please?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

This may be a better question for the carpentry or painting section of the forum.
I could only advise against Linseed oil and Teak as you already know.
