I've developed a leak from the bathe plughole and I discovered it's corroded and a piece has crumbled away from the edge of the hole. Metal bath. Obviously it's not sealing with the washer underneath. Does anyone know if this is a lost cause and it need a whole new bath, or can this be fixed in any way? It's right on the edge of the hole.

As with a car's bodywork, the only way to repair something like that properly would be to cut out the corrosion and weld in a new piece which isn't really practical unless you're a welder. Unfortunately anything else would just be a sticking plaster and a matter of time before it goes again.
