not sure if anyone can help but i thought i had heard of a device that you can fit to an electrical item that tells you how much its costing you i.e a fridge or freezer or kettle etc, not sure if im right tho. if not is there an easy way to calculate this

I have this it's a plug in adaptor - seem to work very well... Indicates Volts, Amps, VA, Watts, Hertz, Power Factor, elapsed time and KiloWatt hours used...

A different model on sale has battery backup which could be useful, the meter I have loses any data held when host socket is de-energised.
