Could a faulty inlet valve not fill my dishwasher fast enough causing it to time out and throw an error?

My Indesit DIS 04 dishwasher is still unable to complete a cycle, I’m unable to find which fault code it is throwing but I’m wondering if I can diagnose by the actual symptoms instead.

It starts by the drain pump, this last ~20 seconds and seems to work fine. Then I hear it filling with water quietly. I swear it was louder before when doing this. After 85 seconds though it errors out, I get the flashing lights and the drain pump starts again.

Opening the door then shows just the filter is filled with water and not much more. It then pumps all this out due to the error.

Operating the dishwasher and listening to the inlet pump definitely sounds like it is turning and pumping water but could it be it is faulty in not being able to pump enough? I can’t take it apart to inspect as it’s a sealed pump but I always thought pumps like this either work or don’t.

Thanks for any advice

Why are you not able to check fault codes?
Sadly I can’t work out what the code actually means….

They don't pump water in, they open a solenoid valve, which lets water in. Some inlets, are supplied with a washer, with a small hole, to reduce the flow into the machine. You should also have an isolating valve, where the machine flexible pipe connects to the water supply - worth checking, maybe removing the restriction washer, and checking the isolation valve is fully open.

Thanks. Yes checked for any issue with any washers or iso valve. All working ok on that front.

Maybe the inlet valve solenoid is faulty and can’t open fully.

Sadly they’re contradictory even on Indesits own website. I’ve searched high and low yet are still unable to work out what they mean. Grateful if you can prove me wrong. Thanks

In your other post you have numbered the les's 6 to 9. The link I posted refers to them as 1 to 5. Which configeration that is shown in the 2 tables do you have. Horizontal or vertical. Posting a pic of the flsashing led's on the control panel might help.
