Yup

President of the National Farmers’ Union, Minette Batters says reverting to WTO rules would be catastrophic for farming and the countryside.

94 per cent of export sheep meat production goes to the EU. In Teesdale, there are 400 sheep farmers.....

Who would suffer the most? It’ll be the small UK farms and small businesses: the tenant farmers, contract farmers and small family farms who will be clobbered, in both upland and lowland areas

read all about it in the Teeside Mercury

Does the president of the farmers know much -or is her expertise trumped by the 'belief of Brexiteers'

"""It could destroy lives and livelihoods and families, and that is in the back of my mind at all times.”

The threat comes from a chaotic Brexit, which she has been fighting from the moment of her election in February last year. Her warning is grave: “If the government does forget about agriculture, if they do flood us with cheap ingredients that would be illegal for us to produce here, it would make what happened to coal and...one paragraph from NUf president...count how many "could" and "if""":

another crystal ball gazer..why the fluk should farmers be special..coal,steel ships, etc all went went not viable.."farmers look after the countryside"....ballox

If she were that much of an expert she'd know that the biggest threat to sheep farming is vegetarianism and environmentalism.

Yes Im sure you know more than president of NFU.

As usual Brexiteers think experts know nothing, yet they believe the lies of Rees Mogg et al.

Gosh, you really do know nothing.
And you think that makes you clever.

Course they have...takes them years to sort trade deals Notchy, you always telling us that
yes you make a good point, luckily for the EU they have plenty of trade deals around the world so they are spoilt for choice.

the Eu are currently well on the way to negotiating a comprehensive trade deal with Australia.
I have no doubt the Eu will get a good deal, the Eu is already Australias 2nd largest export market after china.

The UK wont get such a good deal -Australia have already said the EU deal comes first.

Im sorry to pizz on your bonfire
