Is it neccesary to repair cracks on Pebbledash if I intend to have the whole thing Rendered ? Is there any advantage to this or would it be a waste of money?
Well one guy has suggested traditional sand/cement mix with waterproof additive, two layers with mesh inbetween and a drip bead. I have looked into the various types of Render and it would seem non are guaranteed from cracking. The current PB has already got some noticeable repairs just smooth lines (no pb) doesn't look nice and is also in white which I do not like. These older cracks seem to have been responsible for the penetrating damp in the walls so I really think a complete 'covering' would help ?
